Dinner – 晩ごはん

Grilled Green Chili Pepper – 青唐辛子の焼いたん

Green chili peppers are delicious from summer to autumn. Just bake it quickly, sprinkle dried bonito flakes, and pour soy sauce.
It’s full of grassy fresh vegetables and it’s attractive. Occasionally, it is very spicy, but it is also delicious as a blessing of nature.

Turnip and Fried-Tofu simmered dish – 蕪とお揚げの炊いたん

The small, white turnips, along with their leaves, are very tasty when cooked with fried tofu. The dashi stock is simply bonito flakes and soy sauce. It’s also delicious when cooked using dried sardines.


Chicken ”Mizutaki” and Tofu – 鶏の水炊きと豆腐

Mizutaki is a kind of hot pot dish that is eaten while cooking on the table. Pour water into a pot and use kombu seaweed to extract the broth. Slowly simmer the chicken, and when it becomes soft, add tofu, vegetables, and mushrooms.

The “finishing dish” of hot pot dishes is usually rice porridge or noodles, but this time I chose Indian food “UPMA”.
In India, it is often eaten for breakfast.

I had a fruit dessert. Akebi from Yamagata Prefecture. It was very delicate and delicious.
